1. Cooperate with breathing

When practicing: Exhale in the state of lifting (when exerting force), and inhale in the state of retreating force. In a static state, such as maintaining a 45-degree angle, maintain normal chest breathing without holding your breath.

2. Don't hold your head with your hands

Sit-ups in the general sense are to put the hands and fingers behind the head, but in the process of sitting up, the head is often lifted with the strength of the hands, which can easily cause neck muscle strain. The correct way is to fold your hands in front of your chest, or put your hands by your ears, and use your abdominals instead of your arms when you sit up.

3. Getting up height: stay at a 45-degree angle

Sit-ups do not mean that the higher the height, the better the effect. The correct method is to try to extend the duration of the 45-degree angle between the body and the ground (at least 30 seconds) when doing sit-ups, so that the abdominal muscles can get the most effective exercise.
