Imagine four straight lines connecting your shoulders and pelvis, this "box" is a reminder of body alignment and symmetry. With every Pilates exercise, ask yourself, "Is my box square?" Many people habitually lean on one side of their body, and you may even notice yourself leaning or spinning to one side. When doing a variety of daily activities, there is often a feeling that one side of the body is easy to manipulate with the other. Pilates make you more aware of these imbalances and correct them.
